Oh, Christmas Tree.

December 3rd was the day to pick out the Park family Christmas tree.
Andrew went hunting in the morning, Buddy Bee took a nice long mid-morning nap, and after we enjoyed lunch before we headed out for our tree.

Buddy Bee's first grilled cheese sandwich.

Buddy Bee loves cheese so there was no doubt in my mind that he would like grilled cheese.

Then our little family of 3 bundled up for our trip to the tree farm.
We headed over to Jeffers Tree Farm, a different location then we have used before, and were a bit disappointed when we arrived to find you could not cut your own. We did however find a great tree.  Buddy Bee showed no interest in looking at trees and was more interested in running around the parking lot.

A lady volunteered to take a family picture for us and this is what we got...

The tree was attached to the roof and Buddy Bee was almost ready for another nap so we headed back home. While Buddy Bee napped Andrew and I brought the tree in and set her up.

Buddy Bee's first peek at our Christmas Tree.
"Ooohhhh!"

He wasn't really sure about the pine needles.

Our Christmas tree all ready for lights and ornaments!

Buddy Bee checking out the tree.

"I am not touching it, Mom!"

This little boy melts my heart.

Uncle Jordan even came to see our tree and shared some of his treat with the Buddy Bee.

Checking out the tree was hard work so Buddy Bee curled up with his blankie and settled into his chair to watch some Sesame Street before bed.

The "I am ready for bed" look.

Buddy Bee was not up for decorating the tree that night so we put him to bed and Andrew and I took on the task of hanging the lights.

There she is all lit up and sparkling.

The following morning Buddy Bee and I started decorating our new home for our first Christmas.

The fireplace decked out in all it's holiday finest.

Buddy Bee demonstrating why we need a babygate in the fireplace.

Our little holiday Elves.

Surprisingly Buddy Bee has not bothered our little Elves besides sometimes turning the girl elf arond facing the stone...

Our stockings hung on the mantle.
Andrew's is the winter deer scene (L), Buddy Bee's is the burgandy holiday toys (M), and mine is the Christmas nativity (R).

Our stockings were cross stitched by Oma.

Mommy and her little Elf!

Our days and nights filled up and we did not get the chance to decorate our tree until a week and half later.
So on December 13th we ordered chinese, watched the Nutcracker, and decorated our Christmas tree.

Our finished tree.

We had one final touch to make on our tree.
Andrew brought out the hand saw and Buddy Bee's stool and did some trimming to our tree.

With our star placed on top our tree was complete.

It was time for us to sit back, enjoy our tree, and celebrate the real reason for the season.

Merry Christmas!
