9th Anniversary

9 years ago, I was a bride waiting for her groom and so excited to start our journey together.  9 years later, I am anxiously waiting for my groom to return home from his second deployment.  Andrew, did you ever imagine that those 20 year old kids would be so extremely blessed and come so far together?  I am just as excited to see you walk towards us in that airport a few months from now as I was to walk down that church aisle on our wedding day.  Happy 9th Anniversary, Andrew.

Andrew and I have spent about half of our marriage separated by the Army.  The
separations are difficult, but they have also formed our relationship into what it is today.  I love that Andrew has made such a huge sacrifice, I love the soldier that he has become, I love what he stands for in that uniform, I love him in that uniform :), and I love what he demonstrates to our little boy by serving his country.

I couldn't spend my anniversary with my soldier but this little cutie made it all okay.

Buddy Bee and I skyped with Andrew in the afternoon and later that evening we had a little impromptu photo shoot. Buddy Bee was in charge of the camera remote. :)

It was a everyday, silly, laid back photo session, but I love the pictures Buddy Bee took.  It is days like this that will get us through this deployment.

Mother's Day 2013

Happy Mother's Day!

This Mother's Day was different for Buddy Bee and I.  We are missing our soldier.  This deployment has changed our relationship for Buddy Bee and I.  We are learning to cherish the time we have together and apart.  We are transitioning to a little boy and his Mama relationship.  The days of Mama and baby have passed.  I enjoyed the baby stage but I am loving watching these new changes happen for my Buddy Bee.  Every day is a new adventure and I love watching my boy grow up.

A beautiful card and rose bush from my little Buddy Bee.

Gorgeous peach rose

I wasn't the only recipient of Buddy Bee's love.

On Sunday we took advantage of my Grandma's gorgeous tree.

My 3rd Mother's Day with this sweet little boy.

Buddy Bee and his favorite Oma.

After church, Buddy Bee and I headed over to Nana and Papa's for lunch.

I had another Mother's Day surprise when Buddy Bee brought this home from school.

Buddy Bee had planted sunflowers for his Mama!

What a happy Mother's Day.

I am so thankful for the little boy who made me a Mama.
Happy Mother's Day.
