Coal for Christmas?

We had the chimney and all we needed was the fuel.  This was a difficult choice for us.  With Andrew gone so much with the military the extra time cutting wood would take him away from us just did not fit into what we wanted for our family. Fortunately for us our stove took two different types of fuel.  The end decision was to burn coal.  So, right before Thanksgiving we had 4 tons of coal delievered.

So, on a sunny day after Thanksgiving we spent the day hauling coal in between playing with some trucks.

Buddy Bee running around the house.

 Crawling up the hill.

 Moving his trucks.

And then Buddy Bee found the coal pile....

He almost made it to the top before Mommy stopped him.

This is the ONLY way to haul coal...
Dress pants, dress shoes, pearls, a trench coat, and a baby on your hip.

The last few loads Buddy Bee went back to moving trucks down the hill.

After we hauled coal our little family headed back to the front yard to play with the little Buddy Bee.

 And he is off again.

The some unapproved fun by Daddy.

They scared me to death but you can't deny the pure happiness on Buddy Bee's face.

My boys headed off for a little walk before we headed back inside for Buddy Bee's nap.

Buddy Bee had a fabulous day playing outside and no he won't be getting coal for Christmas.
But we will have plently of coal to keep his little hands and feet warm this winter.
