Adventures In Philly: Please Touch Museum

We were amazed at how well our little boy slept during the night at the hotel.  This mama had visions of little Buddy Bee's climbing out of the pack 'n' play and not sleeping for weeks leading up to our trip.  Thankfully though, Buddy Bee continued with his night time ritual of singing and talking to himself until he finally snuggled up with "blee" and fell asleep.  Our little family woke up with smiles ready for the next adventure. And all adventures always start with Buddy Bee's daily morning request, Curious George.

Buddy Bee trying to get as close to George as possible.

As Curious George ended we packed up our things and headed out to our adventure.

Mommy and the Buddy Bee.

The next phase in our adventure involved meeting my good friend, Sara and heading into the city to the Please Touch Museum.

We've arrived!

It is a gorgeous building but there was no time to stop and admire because we had a little boy to set free inside!

As soon as we arrived the Buddy Bee was off and running!

Buddy Bee spotted this truck as soon as we walked in.

Buddy Bee driving "his" truck and after a few minutes Daddy had to pry our Buddy Bee off so other little kids could have a turn.

And in true Buddy Bee fashion he headed to the next motor vehicle.
I can only imagine what was going through his little head as the other boy climbed aboard.

Our boy loves driving his vehicles.

Exploring the rocket with Sara.

He liked the zoo but this was more our little guys speed.

Sending foam rockets up with Daddy.

My boys loved flying rockets!

Buddy Bee the Mailman.

Checking out the antique trucks with Daddy.

....at least he is the one driving the ambulance this time!

Being able to drive all the vehicles was the highlight of Buddy Bee's trip.

Our little boy having the time of his life.

Driving around the Buddy Bee size town.

Our little boy was the annoying child pushing the door bell a million times!

Planting his garden with carrots, a favorite of the Buddy Bee.

Buddy Bee is always game for a little music.

Buddy Bee's time with the instruments was short lived once he spotted the carousel.
Our little boy loves carousel rides.

Mommy and her boy.

"Look there's, Da!"

After a ride with Mommy, Buddy Bee insisted to go again so Daddy got a turn.

Daddy and a very tired little boy.

Buddy Bee's newest thing is to say, "Weeee" when going for a ride.

After his carousel rides we headed over to the last exhibit which involved our little guys favorite thing, water.

An elephant made out of toys.

Buddy Bee does not need any encouragement to play in water!

Buddy Bee would watch the older kids operate the levers and then he would soon follow their direction.

Buddy Bee was not impressed with the Baby Duck Pond but he did take a few of the water toys with him to the next station.

Good thing Mommy came prepared with a change of clothes for the Bee because the smock did not last long.

When our little bee stopped, stood still, and started sucking his thumb we knew it was time to head for home.

Our little family of 3
(thanks Sara for taking our picture!)

And what kind of trip would it be without some nose picking action by the Bee?

The Bee was not too happy we were leaving.

Someone ready for a nap.

I think we accomplished the goal of wearing this child out.

We said goodbye to Sara and started our long journey home.  Buddy Bee took a little snooze but was soon awake and pointing out every truck on our way home.

When we pulled into the garage I turned around and whispered to my boy, "we are home" and immediately he let out this very cute squeal of joy.

We had a fabulous time on our mini vacation but there is nothing like coming home.
