What's New on the Menu?

Buddy Bee did not have his first taste of solid food until he was 6 months old.
Since then he has had a new food every 4 days or so.
The faces he makes when tasting a new food for the first time are priceless.

First bite of Kiwi on July 29th.

Not so sure about this green slimy stuff.

Buddy Bee ROAR!

Decided he likes it!

Helping Daddy drink his water.

Buddy Bee loves drinking from a regular cup and can spot one a mile away!

"I can do it, Mom!"

Buddy Bee and Mommy snuggling after dinner.

I couln't wait 4 days after the Kiwi to start the next food.
Grampy brought Buddy Bee fresh cucumbers from the garden.

First taste of Cucumber on July 30th.

Grilled Salmon for dinner on August 1st.
The 4 day wait rule went out the window this week...

Don't let him fool you he gobbeled it up!

First taste of Milk on August 2nd.

We have debated on when to start milk but after our experience at a wedding reception this past weekend we knew we had to try. Let's just say it ended with our family leaving early, a failed attempt at nursing the Buddy Bee in the car before we left, and Buddy Bee and Mommy both in tears on the way home.  Andrew and I decided on that car ride home that we needed to try cow's milk.

Buddy Bee won't nurse when we are out in public anymore.  He WANTS to nurse but he does not want to miss out on everything around him. This is causing us to leave events early or try to get through them with a very grumpy Buddy Bee.  I might want to add that our Buddy Bee still nurses every 2 hours and will not accept mommy's milk in a cup. Our thought is that if we can get him to drink milk it might satisfy him when we are away from home.

He really liked the initial taste but notice his wet shirt....he spit it all out.

Only time will tell if Buddy Bee agrees with our plan...
