9th Anniversary/Post Deployment Getaway to the Finger Lakes.

He was home! We were adjusting to being a complete family again and Buddy Bee was getting to know his Daddy after a long year apart.  We had a surprise trip for Buddy Bee planned in a few weeks but first it was time for Mommy and Daddy to finally celebrate their 9th anniversary.
It was time for a post deployment trip away with my soldier at some beautiful places in the Finger Lakes!

Our first stop was Watkins Glen State Park!

What a gorgeous 3 mile hike!  Bring on the stairs!!

What a beautiful place we are blessed to visit.

How could I not take this many pictures of such a gorgeous place.
We attempted and failed...

We reached the top, enjoyed the view, and enjoyed a peaceful hike back down.

So thankful my hubby took me on this adventure and hike
We were now off to our cottage for a few days.
And what a charming and perfect place we picked!
Our cottage was booked through The Quiet Place.
We were greeted with a thoughtful note and chocolate chip cookies!

It was a little hazy our first day at the cottage but we could still enjoy the view of the lake.

Our second day included a hiking adventure to Grimes Glen.

It was a short hike but still gorgeous.

My leader picking our path to the waterfall.

I absolutely loved this painted bridge.

After our hike we did a little shopping, visited some gorgeous properties, and had a quiet lunch out.

There had to be a kissing photo.
I am so happy I have this man back.
A perfect sunset through the trees ended our day.

The next day we had a clear view to the lake.

We loved our time away.
We will always cherish this trip for so much happiness and joy we felt while here.
It was a perfect trip to welcome home my soldier from his second deployment.
