Adventures In Philly: A Day on Post

We were in the Philly area for the Buddy Bee's urology appointment.  We had just come from the Adventure Aquarium and of course the child did not nap in the car.  We would be staying on Ft. Dix in temporary family house for the night and while we waited for our room Buddy Bee found the perfect playground for a 2 year old.

The Buddy Bee in a bubble!

He thought being in the bubble was the funniest thing ever!  And according to his parents it truly was hysterical.

Our little cutie!

It's hard to believe that this happy little boy might need surgery.

This playground was designed for children under 4 and the tire rubber floor was amazing!

Back to his bubble.

Buddy Bee having the best time!

Andrew hates having his picture taken....my dear husband, I love you.

I can't explain how nice it was not to worry about Buddy Bee on a playground.
We need this in our backyard!

I love this happy spirit. He is such a joyful little boy.

We stopped counting how many times he went down the slide.

The Buddy Bee had to wear his taxi shoes for his big city visit.

Our boy has a love for matchbox cars and trucks.

He makes me smile.

Love this little face.

Slides make for great car races.

It's important business racing cars and Buddy Bee takes it very seriously.

Someone was getting sleepy.

I love these pictures.  It's not often these blue eyes are lost in still thoughts.

If Daddy does not return soon we might have a sleeping child on the playground.

Yay! Daddy is back and our room is ready.

As long as the Bee has Curious George he is happy.

It was going to be an early morning for the Park family so it was early to bed for us.

We were at the Children's Hospital of Philly by 7:30 a.m.  We would be seeing the director of pediatric urology. We went into this appointment assuming that nothing needed to be done besides monitoring.  That is what we had been told several times and did not expect to hear anything different.  Andrew and I were shocked when the urologist not only thought the Bee needed surgery but needed it done as soon as possible.   The concern was due to the Bee's age. Since the hydrocele was just presenting itself the likelihood that it would seal on it's own was unlikely.  The other major concern was the Buddy Bee's intestines could end up in his scrotum causing an even more dangerous situation. Not only would the surgery correct the hydrocele it will also be repairing a hernia. Our Buddy Bee would be having his second surgery.
