Very Proud of Daddy!

On August 18th our little family headed down to Tobyhanna Army Depot for Andrew's promotion picture.
It's been an exciting time for Andrew.
He is being promoted to Captain and becoming the Company Commander.
He has waited a long time for this honor and has worked so hard for it.
We are just so proud of Andrew!

Two very handsome men!

I have to admit I love a man in uniform!

On the 19th Andrew left for a 4 day drill weekend.  Buddy Bee and I missed Andrew very much and were very excited to see him come home on Monday.

Daddy's Home!

Andrew just got new army boots and Buddy Bee had to make sure they were going to work and hold up to the abuse Andrew puts them through.

We are not sure how this promotion will effect our little family, over the next year, but we do know we are not alone. We are still a family of 3 whether Andrew is home with us or overseas.

Spiedie Fest 2011

Our little family had the opportunity to attend our first ever Spiedie Fest on the 5th.
Andrew had to be at drill on Saturday so Friday night was our only night to go.
We picked a perfect night to because it rained the rest of the weekend.

We met up with our friends and their little girl for a fun night of watching hot air balloons!
We knew both kids would just love the balloons!

Buddy Bee and his first bus ride ever over to
Otsiningo Park for the 27th Annual Spiedie Fest!

We had enough time to grab some spiedie sandwiches and have a picnic dinner
while we waited for the balloons.

We picked the perfect spot to watch.
They had 3 sections for the balloons to launch and we picked the middle so we could see them all!

 There it goes!

Buddy Bee's eyes never left the balloon until it was out of his sight.

He even stood up in his stroller so he could see more.

The vehicles in front are the chase vechicles for each balloon.

We even had to move so the chase vechicle could get out.

I loved how close we were to the balloons.

Buddy Bee got his own Buddy Bee size balloon from the Hope Tent.

Having fun with his new balloon.

We had a wonderful time and Buddy Bee just loved watching the hot air balloons.
It was a perfect night spent with great friends!
We are looking forward to next year!
