Easter Bunny Express

What could be more perfect in a little boy's life than a ride on a train? Okay, well maybe running outside naked but it's a little cold yet for that.  So on Saturday, April 7th, our little family of 3 ventured off on a fun filled (and stressful) day of riding the rails on the Cooperstown and Charlotte Valley Railroad.  Our Easter Bunny Express was departing from the Milford Depot in upstate Milford, NY for a 2 hour train ride with the Easter Bunny and some special friends.  We were so excited for Buddy Bee's first train ride but very nervous about keeping a toddler occupied, relatively still, and happy for the 2 hour ride.

Andrew and Buddy Bee all ready to board the train.

And 5 minutes in we already had a squirmy little worm on our hands.

Fortunately Buddy Bee was able to walk the aisles until the train was all boarded.

My little boy and I all ready for our train ride.

Buddy Bee stuffing his face with his special snack which, was doing it's job and keeping him very still.

Our little Bee does not get a lot of chocolate so his little stash of M & M's was a very special treat for the boy.

Buddy Bee snuggled in for watching  the scenery pass.

But very soon we had some visitors aboard.

Buddy Bee mesmerized by the Easter Bunny.

Buddy Bee high fives for the Easter Bunny.

Buddy Bee thought the bunny was so funny.

Then our little Buddy Bee got to meet Elmo.

A very serious Buddy Bee enjoying some crackers.

The snacks only lasted so long and once again we had a little worm to enertain until the next stop for the egg hunt...

....so, Daddy the Tickle Monster might have attacked the Bee.

Thankfully, we were soon headed off the train for the Easter egg hunt, a chance for fresh air, and for the Buddy Bee to stretch his little legs.

Buddy Bee was soon off and dancing to the music.
Before we headed back on the Bunny Express for our return trip, Mommy wanted a few pictures.

Buddy Bee may be thought the Bunny was cool on the train but sitting on the Bunny's lap was a different story.

Buddy Bee's "I want my Daddy back" scream.

The look Buddy Bee was giving this bunny was priceless and possibly Buddy Bee's "your evil" look.

Not even Daddy could help.

Elmo was a different story.
Buddy Bee does not watch much tv but he does watch a few shows and we were very surprised when he walked up and said, "Elmo".

He could not look away.  He loved him.

For our return trip Daddy and Buddy Bee sat with Nana.
This change in seats gave Buddy Bee his own space and greatly improved our trip back.

There was one more activity on our Easter train adventure for the Buddy Bee;
an Easter egg role!

Buddy Bee rolling the giant size Easter eggs.

He mostly wanted to pick it up and throw the egg.

But he loved every minute of it.

Our train arrived back at the station and as we walked off that train we were thankful we survived but even more thankful for the memories.
